Hunter-Dwelley Stadium is named after two former Jenks atheletes? On Thanksgiving Day, 1929, the first Jenks Alumni Association named the Jenks athletic field after, Francis Hunter and Charles Dwelley.  Hunter and Dwelley were considered both great players as well as great individuals by their classmates. Hunter and Dwelley passed away prior to graduating their senior years in 1921 and 1922.   Francis Hunter is the football player furthest to the left in the 1921 team picture. More information on the history of Jenks can be found in the book titled, Tune of the Hickory Stick, by Joyce Nichols.
